Summer Sweetheart ✿ Four looks under $17 ft. Sheinside

2:45 PM

Yo~ Today I have four adorable clothing items that aren't expensive and fit for putting together lazy outfits. In a cute way, as always. I have two outfits involving florals and two outfits involving gingham pattern. Also, two work as dresses and two are skirts. And lastly, two are dark blue and two are pastel blue~ The links will be at the end of each outfit pictures. I thought all these four coordinates would work for all of us who are suffering from incredibly hot days where you basically want to wear nothing. Ah and excuse my, always, messy hair. I'm keeping it up in a ponytail because it is just too hot here in Florida. Anyway~ let me know if you like any of these looks ^^

A flowy skirt with a light top, it's that easy. Except that this skirt and this top are beautifully patterned and colored. I have the "only shades of pastel" going on, plus the very spring-y colors. I've reviewed the blouse before, in a post for Yumart, just check out that tag here (at the bottom) and you'll find the link, if you're interested. The skirt is perfect. I'm liking this grid pattern trend, specially when it's on baby colors. I could have gotten the baby pink skirt of this same model, but I always find myself leaning towards blue when I have the choice. The little bow-knot in the front sold it for me, that and the buttons are cute details that I appreciate so it doesn't look like I'm wearing yet another solid color circle skirt. The buttons are just there for decoration, though, it doesn't unbutton (not that it bothers me). A great thing about this piece is the lining inside because it's actually shorts. You can't tell, but the skirt comes with lining shorts.

Too much skin? It's summer~ That's what I would tell my parents as I leave the house wearing these (yeah, they are quite conservative but I like them all the same). I love, love, love this kind of skirt. Suspender skirt + Stretchy waistband for comfort + Dark denim. I know very light washed blue denim is very popular as of late, but I'll always prefer dark blue denim. There is something that makes me feel like it has more quality to it. It's probably just me~ Anyhow, the suspenders are detachable and adjustable. Perfect. You can criss-cross them at the back, or not. And you can decide at what height to wear your skirt. I prefer right above my belly button, so it covers any possible food babies, of course! Another great... feature, I suppose, is the flare. Yes, the flare~ The way the skirt puffs and fluffs out, keeps volume and looks all cute and A-shaped. As usual, the skirt looks somewhat short on me, that might just be my height or how high-waisted I like to wear it, but it's never much of a problem, just pair it with safety shorts or boyshorts, maybe even tights. Oh, you could wear it less high as well. But let's be honest, most times we don't really mind wearing shorts and they can go quite high up on the leg, still it's not an issue. I mean, well at least to me, summer is the right season for showing off those legs. Haha, I've really been liking my body as of late, sorry if I seem too enthusiastic about this, have fun!

Yet another piece I love. Here's a little thing about me, before blogging or starting a tumblr account, or getting into kawaii fashion, I always liked wearing simple floral flowy dresses. They were so easy to pull-off and so easy to pair. I would just put on, every Friday after school, my one springy floral dress and throw my plain navy cardigan on top and get on my classical black bow flats. Done. You don't need to worry about food tummies or cleavage, or if the top matches the bottom, anything. It's very simple and it still works. I liked how this dress comes with drawstrings below the boob area for cinching, if you want. And the straps are adjustable from behind, sort of like a bra strap. You can let them loose and have it off-shoulders or somewhere in the middle, or high on your shoulders. To me, it looks cute either way. The pattern is really subtle, sweet but subtle. If you get a close look you can see some tiny red flowers. The frills on top~ I can't enjoy them enough. Overall, it's a basic, lovely thing to have for a quick way of getting dressed and ready.

Yep, you can guess it. I sound like broken record but I really liked this last piece too. Let's see, here are the reasons why I would certainly pick it and love it. It's pastel, it's blue, it's gingham, it has a bow, it has fluffy princess sleeves, it's flowy, comfy and lazy. Yes. I almost picked the red and white version of it, but I realized I already have a red gingham dress on my wardrobe. Besides, blue is blue. Blue is my favorite color ever. And white. Okay, so this long blouse can actually work fully as a dress for shorter people. For example if you're 5'1 and below. For the taller people like me, it can be a really, really short dress or a lounge blouse that you can easily chill out in and pair with any cute shorts under, or leggings! The fabric is pretty basic, but it's not sheer and it does the job. I'm saying this blouse is not fancy quality, but it's adorable and it works. Look at it, it looks cute, it works~
